Betty Difei Chen is a senior computational designer at Sidewalk Labs, focusing on building objective functions of environmental simulations and analysis with software engineers and product designers for Delve, a digital planning assistance tool.

She has worked at SOM (New York), AS+GG and Pei Partnership Architects and her responsibilities were geometry optimization and rationalization through parametric modeling, computational design and analysis for architectural and urban scale projects. She studied Architecture in Urban Design and Design Studies in Technology at Harvard Graduate School of Design and received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture. Her works are published in RPI SoA all-school publication “INFLUX“, SuckerPunch Daily, Archinect and exhibited in Hyde Collection, Glens Falls, NY.
